The highly anticipated Jewels of the World was inaugurated in Riyadh on Friday, 3rd October by HRH Mohammed bin Nahar bin Saud bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, during an exclusive reception attended by dignitaries, industry leaders and international guests.
Taking place at the Four Seasons Hotel, Saudi Arabia’s premier watch & jewellery show features a dazzling display of creations from over 100 brands from all over the world. Offering an interactive retail experience and access to brands and collections not previously introduced in the Kingdom, the five-day glittering affair is the largest yet, and remains open to the public until 7th October.
A number of celebrated names join the Riyadh event, including legendary Bond Street jeweller David Morris. The house will be presenting a number of pieces including the Mosaico choker crafted with a 15ct Colombian emerald, 31.75ct emerald-cut and square-cut emeralds and 72.27ct round, oval, baguette and square-cut white diamonds, the Starburst cuff with 58.88ct blue sapphires, 52.12ct Paraiba tourmaline and 16.68ct white diamonds, and the striking Coralline necklace with 151.62cts conch pearls, 41.28cts diamonds, 16.97cts Paraiba tourmaline and 7.24cts pink sapphires, and matching earrings.
Moussaief, one of the most discreet and exclusive high jewellery houses in the world, will showcase an array of its masterpieces. Highlights include a 62.61ct diamond necklace with a 30.91ct diamond pendant and matching 21.98ct diamond earrings, another a striking yellow diamond high jewellery necklace with 72.89ct yellow diamonds, 50.95ct white diamonds and a 50.10 carat yellow diamond pendant with matching earrings.
Pasquale Bruni will unveil its latest high jewellery collection, Rosina, in full for the first time in the Middle East. Rooted in Creative Director Eugenia Bruni’s personal journey, Rosina celebrates both heritage and rebirth, a poetic tribute to the Bruni Family roots and to the timeless elegance of feminine strength. Each jewel in the collection – from the rings to necklaces, earrings to brooches – fits the skin seamlessly, transformable, poetic and above all, wearable.
With Bussati 1947, artistry meets virtuosity: the Maison has consistently been at the forefront of exploring and embracing alternative, tech-savvy materials in the high jewellery world, creating striking contrasts with gold and precious stones. Busatti is showcasing a variety of creations at the show, reflective if its its mastery and unexpected, hugely innovative creations.
Fine Italian jewellery maker FerriFirenze’s collections embody a unique duality in that ultra luxury meets everyday wearability. Crafted from only gold and diamonds in the house’s atelier in the Tuscan countryside, its signature creations from Bubbles, Cucito, Vitro and Mini-Me Soffio are timeless, designed to be worn and inspired by the beauty of nature.
Rosa Amoris Atelier Jewellery will present Gilded Gardens among other sets of its fine and bespoke jewels. In the nature-themed collection, emeralds are the muse – vivid and full of life – while rose-cut diamonds glisten like morning dew, capturing the grace that defines the brand’s design philosophy. Meticulously hand-crafted in India, the set includes four masterworks: the Emerald Radiance ring, Imperial Bloom ring, Majestic Cascade bracelet and the Emerald Teardrop earrings.
A range of spectualar jewels from other leading houses are also exhibited, including Ananya Fine Jewellery, Aneka, Araya Fine Jewellery, Azar Gems, Butani, Carlo Barberis, Casato, Davidor, Etho Maria, Ethonica Jewel, Gems Pavilion, Hasbani Gioielli, HRH Joaillerie, IRAM Jewelry, Kamyen Jewellery, Marceline Paris, Mayiana Jewels, Nado’s Jewellery, Nouvel Heritage, Nsouli Jewelry, Persée Paris, Renée Jewellers, Tejori, Thahab Lawal, Veschetti and Yoko London among others.
Over 23 Italian brands are present including Giloro, Giovanni Ferraris, Luca Carati, Ofir Gioielli, Paola Brussino and Rivalta. This edition also sees stronger presence from Saudi Arabian and other Middle Eastern names from across the region.
Jewels of the World runs from 3-7 October at the Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh and then moves to Jeddah Hilton from 11-14 October.
During both shows, the International Gemological Institute (IGI), one of the world’s largest independent grading and accreditation authorities, will offer certification services at an exclusive rate. A new partnership with Global Blue also enables visitors from outside the Kingdom to claim a VAT refund on purchases.
